Joe Zupan

The New England Jazz scene has been enormously enriched by the tirelessefforts and clear vision of Jack Wertheimer. His years as a radio host on Worcester’s radio stations WCUW and WICN brought him in contact with many regional artists.

This collection includes an interview with Jack in which he discusses his career as an impresario, having given birth to the Jazz at Sunset concert series (which he directed for 14 years), the Brownstone record label (where he recorded and produced more than 60 CDs) and his involvement in the beginnings of the Studio 3 TV jazz programs.
