Bassist, vocalist, and educator Dennis Pratt is a graduate of the US Navy School of Music and the Berklee College of Music, former Band Director of West Warwick High School, Jazz Band Director of Dean College, Jazz Band Director of Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro Ma. He is currently Adjunct professor at Community College of Rhode Island (Jazz History, Applied Music). Dennis Pratt has been performing throughout the New England area for many years and with many of the top musicians in the area including the Phil Morrison Trio, Yvonne Monnett, The Nomads, Art Pelosi, Tony Cippola, Claire Lorraine & Co., Matthew Quinn, Kathy Rubbicco, David Spadazzi, Taft Khouri, Artie Cabral, Greg Abate, the Dixieland Pops, Jeffrey Cashen, Lois Vaughan, Al Wilson, Stan Ellis and many others. He appeared in the orchestra of the motion picture "Meet Joe Black" starring Anthony Hopkins and Brad Pitt. He is currently involved with Dr. Tom Shaker in a revision of the book "Who's Who in Rhode Island Jazz" written by Lloyd Kaplan and Bob Petteruti. The new book is entitled "Rhode Island Treasury of Jazz and Swing Musicians".
