In 2009 Harry Platcow created for Milford Public TV a jazz performance and interview show called "Jazz From the Combs". Episodes in this collection include jazz artists John Baboian, Jim Porcella, Dan Gabel, Jon Wheatley, Jeff Stout, Bob Tamagni, Dick Odgren and many more.

Tom Reney

Since 1984, Tom Reney has hosted "Jazz à la Mode" on 88.5 FM WFCR, sponsored by New England Public Radio.

Jazz Radio Study

For more than 12 years, Brian Barlow was a radio host for WICN Radio (Worcester, MA), eventually becoming General Manager of the station in 1998. In 2011, he undertook a study funded by WPI regarding the state of Jazz Radio in the United States.

JazzSphere

This collection is a jazz history blog written by musician Chet Williamson. Here he features articles on such famed Worcesterites as Jaki Byard, Irene Higginbottom, Einar Swan, Otis Ferguson, Barbara Carroll and Wendell Culley, among many others.

Leominster Public Access Television

This is a collection videos provided by Leominster Public Access Television.

Studio 3

Hosted by singer Toni Ballard, Studio 3 is a collection of more than 90 TV shows featuring jazz artists in concert. Shot in the studios of WGMC-TV, as well as locations throughout the city of Worcester, these videos contain never before seen performances of such venerated artists as Larry Coryell, Herb Pomeroy, and James Williams.

Telegram and Gazette

This collection presents articles, reviews and previews amassed from Worcester's daily newspaper. A host of writers tackled the subject of jazz through the years, including such scribes as James Gourgouras, Eve Skehan, James Lee, Bob Bliss, Walter Crockett and Scott McLennan.

WICN Radio 90.5 FM

Presenting jazz music seven days per week, WICN remains an active and integral participant in the community. As producer of the Brown Bag and Jazz at Sunset series, WICN is an indisputable vital force on the Central New England jazz scene. This collection presents an overview of the station's remarkable history, interviews, and recorded live performances.

Band Edge

Band Edge is a video production of WCCA tv in Worcester, MA and hosted by jazz pianist Mauro DePasquale. Episodes here include Jean Mancini Gough, Sandstorm Organ Trio, Jazzed Up Trio and several more.

Worcester Magazine

Whether by staff writers such Charles Pierce and Chet Williamson, or editors Walter Crockett and Paul Della Valle, or even publisher Allen Fletcher (who snatched one of last interviews with pianist Don Asher), "Worcester's weekly" has often chronicled the local jazz scene through the years. Here is a sample of the paper's output.

WCUW Radio 91.3 FM

WCUW Radio is a non-commercial, community access radio station that seeks to "inform, entertain and enlighten." Over its years, the station has served as a breeding ground for national talent. Consider: Ross Reynolds, Program Director at KUOW, NY; Amy Salit, a producer for "Fresh Air with Terry Gross;" and Tom Reney, host of Jazz a la Mode at WFCR, Amherst, MA.

John Voci

John Voci has worked in all areas of public media including radio, TV and digital, since 1977. He began his career in community radio at WCUW in Worcester, MA where he worked as a producer, on-air host, Development Director, Program Director and concert producer.
