Fragment #6

A.J. Juarez

During supper,
Elijah laughs about farting.
His ten-year-old sense of humor
Is a huge sweet orange that quakes
Until it almost burst,
Leaving him breathless,
And aching from uncontrollable giggling...

Wear your gathered diamonds,
You handsome chestnut skin child.
Wear your gathered diamonds,
You saxophone playing, you dreamer of improvisations,
Admirer of Dexter, and Prez.

I am so in awe of your musicality.
.Wear your gathered diamonds
And bathe my tired soul in the
Red brightness of
Your hilarity....
